7. Cookies and embedded content

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. It can, for example, remember your preferences or recognise your browser.

Strictly necessary cookies

Some cookies are essential for the website to function, such as the one that stores your cookie choices. They do not require your consent.

Content embedded from other websites

Some pages, notably our case studies, may embed content from third-party platforms: YouTube videos, Instagram posts and, where applicable, other services (TikTok, X, Facebook, Google Maps…). This content behaves exactly as if you were visiting the relevant site directly: the platform may collect data about you, set cookies and track your interaction with the content, particularly if you are logged in to your account.

This content is only loaded after you have given your consent, collected via the banner displayed on your first visit. Until you have accepted it, it is replaced by a neutral placeholder.

To find out more about how these platforms use your data, see their policies:

Managing your choices

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie management link at the bottom of every page. You can also configure your browser to refuse cookies; some embedded content will then no longer be displayed.

8. Links to our social networks

The website contains simple links to our pages on social networks (notably Instagram and LinkedIn). These links set no cookies and transmit no data until you click on them. Once on these platforms, their own privacy policy applies.

9. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure: secure connection (HTTPS), access to the website administration limited to a small number of people and password-protected, regular updates of the website and its plugins, and hosting with a European provider.

10. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • right of access: to know what data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
  • right to rectification: to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • right to erasure: to request the deletion of your data;
  • right to restriction: to request a temporary freeze on the use of your data;
  • right to object: to object to the processing of your data based on our legitimate interest;
  • right to data portability: to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format;
  • right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out beforehand;
  • right to set directives regarding what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@kaercommunication.fr or by post to the address given in section 1. We will reply within one month at most. If there is reasonable doubt about your identity, proof of identity may be requested.

11. Complaint to the CNIL

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or online at cnil.fr/fr/plaintes.

12. Minors

This website is aimed at professionals. It is not intended for people under 15, who should not send us personal data without the consent of their legal representatives.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, notably when a new feature is added to the website or when regulations change. The effective date shown at the top of the page will then be updated. We encourage you to check it regularly.
